Already a sight to behold: The pre-series of the E469.1

Series production of the completely new ROCO design of the E469.1 (art. no.: 7500082, 7510082, 7520082) for fans of models based on CSD prototypes will start shortly.
The ROCO team put a lot of effort into the planning and development of this special locomotive family in order to get a great product rolling on the tracks.
The aim of every pre-series is to test all moulded parts, to test the plug-in fit during assembly and to ensure that the locomotive is generally easy to assemble. After the pre-series, a large number of adjustments and optimisations are made. Long-term tests are now also being carried out on the models, with the motor and electronics being tested for durability in addition to the tractive force.
Even at first glance, the harmonious and proportionally authentic model is impressive.
 
The compact and flat design of the delicate pantographs is particularly impressive. The invisible fastening catches the eye when looking from the side. The roof impresses with numerous separately attached hand rails, delicate insulators and several maintenance flaps. The side walls have prototypical engravings and the windows are perfectly inserted. The front of the locomotive shines with a specially attached company number plate and, depending on the variant, with a printed or attached star. The running gear with its elaborate bogies is a particular highlight. The elaborate sand pipes extend with several turns exactly to the wheel arch level. Sharp engravings and the prototypical design also provide a view of the spoked wheels.

The digital versions of the models are also impressive: in addition to prototypically switchable sound functions, the driver's cab and engine room can also be illuminated. Based on the CSD model, small lamps on the running gear frame also illuminate the running gear and thus provide prototypical running gear lighting. Thanks to its high dead weight and the use of a 5-pole motor, the model also impresses with its perfect running characteristics when used on the layout.
