Steam locomotive BR 01 of the German Reichsbahn in operation condition of the 1970s. The steam locomotives series 01.0 were steam locomotives with a separate tender of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and were supposed to pull heavy express trains. They were the first in series built so called “Pacific” standard steam locomotives that had a wheel arrangement of 2’C1’h2. This series was used at the Deutsche Reichsbahn until the beginning of the 1980s. Engine with mass flywheel. Drive on two tender axes and through three coupling axes. Interface NEM 652 for the adaptation of a digital decoder. Triple headlight that changes with the direction of travel. Coupler pockets according to NEM 362 standards.
