The 140 423 electric locomotive is a prime example of the tried-and-tested 140 series of standard locomotives and is now part of the DB Museum's collection. Built by Henschel in 1966, it is presented in classic Federal Railway livery and is reminiscent of a time when reliability and technical robustness characterized the German railways. The 140 423 is a piece of railway history that lives on, a special one-off that has been a popular photo subject for many years.
