Electric locomotive BR 143 of the RBH Logistics. The RBH Logistics is the successor company of the Werks-,Zechen- und Hafenbahnen in the area of the Bergwerksdirektion (mining directorate) Recklinghausen. Due to various company mergers and divisions since 1913 the locomotive has an eventful history. The acronym RBH that is still used with the company’s name, stood for the RAG-Bahn- und Hafenbetriebe and it also was kept when the company was sold to the Railion Deutschland in 2005. On the basis of the information of the new owner availabe at the time, the letters R, B and H stood for the core competencies of the company: rail transport (rail), inland shipping (barge) and port handling (Harbour). Since the takeover by the DB, the fleet is supplemented by several locomotives of the class 143 that were sold from the DB to the subsidiary.
