In July 2022, the Swiss company SBB Cargo International AG ordered 20 Vectron multi-system locomotives, including the XLoad equipment package from Siemens Mobility, in cooperation with SüdLeasing GmbH. Vectron XLoad is a package designed to enhance friction coefficient operation, aiming to enable the transportation of heavier trailer loads.
