Since 2018, DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH has been authorised to provide freight transport services as an independent rail transport company. For the further development of freight transport, the first three of six Vectron MS locomotives of the A17 variant ordered were put into operation in 2024. The new vehicles will be used for construction site logistics as well as for national and international goods train transport.
