The rail network of the Vogtlandbahn runs with four lines through the southwest of Saxony from Plauen to Zwickau, Bad Brambach and Klingenthal. In the neighbouring regions, they reach Gera in eastern Thuringia, Kraslice and Cheb in the Czech Republic and Hof in Upper Franconia. Among other vehicles, the Vogtlandbahn operates some Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 railcars on the lines.
