The developement of a model based on the true to life prototype - whether it is a locomotive or a coach - is always a big challenge for Roco. Much time and money have to be spent in advance to bring the rolling dreams in H0 and N Gauche literally onto the tracks.

Photos of prototypes assist with the decision which models should be chosen for realization. In order to be able to reproduce the original with every detail a lot of photographs of individual parts are needed.

With such photos in hand our design and construction department starts to work on the plans for the details. The most advanced and modern CAD technologies are used for the realization.

Now the machines are "fed" with the construction data. Even if the technical advances are enormous we can not do without filigree manual labour to produce our plastic injection molds.
