geoLINE track system
An innovative concept with many possibilities

The end of "tangled tracks"
The replenishing with the smallest track parts and different distance and length compensation pieces is finally coming to an end. The new ROCO geoLINE track system is based on a clear and simple system grid. Finding the compensation tracks of various sizes to even out the gaps can already be confusing you when you are shopping - they finally are a thing of the past.
The Roco geoLINE-System Grid
The base for the grid of the new model train track is a rectangle with the dimensions 385 x 76.5 mm. These measurements were chosen to satisfy the high demands of the model train operators.
The system grid has a length of 385 mm. It was calculated from a combination of a curved switch with a length of 200mm and a straight track with a length of 185 mm. This grid allows for a build up of an unlimited track layout without having to use compensation tracks of various sizes. The track curves of the switch that branches off has a radius of 502.7 mm which results in a switch angle of 22.5 °. To end up with a distance of 76.5 mm for the parallel tracks you will need a curved track which also has a radius of 502.7 mm.
The new track Geometry with the base radius R2, R3, and R4 is based on the distance of 76.5 mm for the parallel tracks. The curved tracks have a segment angle of 30° and a complete 360° circle can be made out of 12 segments. The transition between the radius R2 and R3 is achieved by the left and the right curved switch whose geometry is laid out in a way that in connection with the track curves R3 and R4 another circle segment of 90° can be formed.
