The model is driven on all four axles by a 5 pole motor with flywheel. One of them is equipped with traction tyres. Coupler pocket according to NEM 362 standards and close coupling mechanism. LED lighting. Model with digitally switchable sound functions.
From 1984 onwards, the class 243 electric locomotives were delivered to Deutsche Reichsbahn for use on passenger as well as medium-heavy freight traffic. A total of 600 locomotives in this class were purchased by the DR.
